Break out the Lederhosen and Dirndls! The last weekend in March is the 12th annual Tomball German Heritage Festival. “It’s like Oktoberfest in March!”
It began with a flat bed trailer and a band, today the festival boasts 150 street vendors, 5 stages of live music, a wide assortment of German souvenirs and clothing, arts, crafts, antiques, Heritage Center, German church service, carnival, pony ride, petting zoo, strolling music makers, street performers, and much more.. Saturday night has a colossal fireworks display to celebrate Tomball’s rich history which began in the 1840’s when German immigrants settled the area.
The festival is sponsored by the Tomball Sister City Organization, Wir sprechen Deutsch. For information contact Grady Martin by phone at 281-379-6844 or via email at email@example.com and visit the Tomball German Heritage Festival homepage.
