The Wildwood community’s students in the third to eighth grade can learn all about the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) field at the conference on October 19, 2019! This conference will be held at Tomball Junior High from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Registration is now open! The fee is $15 online only (plus a 5% processing fee) and includes a t-shirt. After parents register through the Google form, they will receive an email with a link to pay online.

Students and parents who attend can expect different activities and exercises to help students build up their critical thinking skills. There will be many learning opportunities through mentorship, a “discussion on current STEAM issues” and sessions about each STEAM discipline. Students in the eighth grade will greatly benefit from this conference since there will be many resources about majors, colleges and careers available.

Tomball ISD encourages students to take advantage of this half-day conference to find out how passionate they are about these fields. Students will receive a more in-depth education about STEAM to help decide if this is the right path for them. Students can ask questions to college students, professors and professionals in the field. What a wonderful opportunity!
