Oakcrest Intermediate Art Student Wins “Best of Show” by The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

Oakcrest Intermediate Sixth-Grader, Triney Ho, won “Best of Show” at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Contest for 2020! Triney presented her artwork, “Glass Jewel,” which highlighted the gorgeous colors of cornstalks in great detail. This piece will be featured at the NRG Center for the 2020 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Season!

Rodeo Houston began the School Art Program more than 50 years ago to “challenge students to think outside of the box.” This program offers students the opportunities to win scholarships, travel and have their artwork displayed for recognition. The Rodeo Houston School Art Program currently “supports 142 different school districts, including private and parochial schools, in the Houston area.”
