Tomball Memorial Senior Receives a TMEA Scholarship

Tomball Memorial’s Senior Saxophonist received the $12,500 TMEA Past-President’s Scholarship! Max Gray was presented with the award by Mr. Bryce Taylor who is TMEA’s oldest living Past-President at 95 years old. The Texas Music Educators Association is committed to “promoting excellence in music education since 1920.”

The Texas Music Educators Association provides scholarship opportunities for students who are determined to pursue music professionally. Their scholarship opportunities include five-year and one-year undergraduate scholarships, a one-year college division scholarship, a one-year graduate study scholarship, and a one-semester student teacher scholarship. Students applying for these scholarships are highly motivated because they have proven just how passionate they are about music. The Texas Music Educators Association gives these students a chance to bring their dreams to pursue this art to life.
