Amy Edmondson, a Willow Wood Junior High seventh grade math teacher, was named a PAEMST Award Finalist! Amy created the “solution station” that has been implemented throughout Tomball ISD’s math classes. This station allows students to “check the work independently while the teacher works with students in a small group.”

Willow Wood Junior High School’s Principal and Tomball ISD’s Director of Math had nothing but praises when asked about Amy. They both expressed how grateful the school and district were to have such an incredible and selfless educator who always has a smile on her face. “The 2019 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th grade science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States.”
